Live from a deeper source of wisdom.

My Story

Life has been my greatest teacher. I lost my father to violence when I was young, and my mother to cancer in adulthood. I've moved through periods of depression and anxiety. I've befriended a severe inner critic who seemed determined to keep me safe but left me miserable instead. My husband and I have navigated periods of intense strife in our marriage—the kind that either breaks you or makes you stronger. (We chose stronger.)

I've also sailed oceans as a captain, lived in remote Mongolia as a Peace Corps volunteer, raised two children, and spent 12 years working internationally in places that broke my heart wide open and changed how I see the world. Growing up in New Jersey gave me a straight-talking, "life's too absurd not to laugh" kind of vibe. I still carry that with me.

All of these experiences—from the profound to the everyday—shape how I show up to this work. I don't have all the answers (who does?), but I'm a committed fellow traveler who believes deeply in community, practice, and courageous action.

How I Found This Work

My path to coaching wasn't straightforward. For 12 years I worked in nonprofit and international development in the U.S., Colombia, and Kenya, applying my Master's in International Relations. The beauty and suffering I witnessed there convinced me that personal flourishing is always tied to the well-being of our communities and planet. I saw firsthand how individual transformation ripples outward in ways we can't always measure but can definitely feel.

Coaching became my way of working at the root level—supporting people to transform their relationship with themselves so they can live with more clarity, presence, and purpose. The personal changes my clients make never stay contained; they impact their families and communities in beautiful, positive ways.

What Grounds Me

My life is shaped by a spiritual path that weaves together Mahayana Buddhist practice and my Christian roots. This foundation grounds how I hold space for others, while always honoring each person's unique background and beliefs. If it calls to you, I welcome bringing a spiritual dimension into our work, whatever that looks like for you.

For me, connecting with the inner wisdom that's embedded in something far greater than ourselves isn't abstract—it shows up in everyday choices. How you nourish your body. How you listen to your heart. How you care for a neighbor in need.

Today

These days, I share life with my husband, children, and two lively cats. I take my work seriously, but I bring a playful, light-hearted energy to it, because honestly? Life is too short and too absurd not to find joy in the journey.

If you feel called to live from a deeper source of wisdom, I'd love to explore how we might work together. Whether through one-on-one coaching, group experiences, or meditation instruction, I'm here to support you as you unfold into who you're becoming.
